In this inspiring episode of IOScholarships Superheroes podcast, I speak with Christian Jensen who is committed to growing and diversifying our nation’s skilled manufacturing workforce pipeline. Since joining the Foundation in 2022, Jensen has worked with corporations, foundations, and individuals to raise funds for the Foundation’s McPhail Scholarship initiative, which is aimed at achieving race and gender parity in the manufacturing sector. Jensen, a graduate of St. John Fisher University, where he played hockey, is a private pilot and SCUBA instructor. Don’t miss this episode if you would like to apply for SME scholarship! Graduating high school seniors as well as students pursuing two-year, four-year, or graduate degrees in manufacturing or engineering are eligible to apply for these amazing scholarships. Since 2005, the foundation has awarded $18 million to over 5,000 students. The application is open annually November 1st – February 1 st.
